About Me:

I am Amanda Hughart, a Certified and an insured Equine and Canine Massage Therapist. I found my passion for equines 12 years ago. I am dedicated to helping equines and their people live happy, comfortable lives. I have been helping horses in various capacities over the past ten years and have been exposed to many aspects of their care. I have served as Barn Manager for All The King’s Horses Equine Rescue. In this capacity I have experience in the rehabilitation of neglected horses, horses with disabilities, injured horses as well as those entering retirement. All The King’s Horses Equine Rescue also works with the gentling and rehoming of Wild Mustangs from America’s West. I have been directly involved with these efforts. As part of my experience, I shadowed a farrier giving me knowledge of the hooves' anatomy, biomechanics of the hoof, and proper hoof care. I also care for privately owned horses on small “Gentle” farms. In the midst of 2022, I became a Certified Equine Massage Therapist through the Midwest Natural Healing for Animals with Lindsay Keating.

Canines have also been a large part of my life. I have owned two Labrador Retrievers and one Labrador Retriever mix (rescue) for the last 20 years. Early 2024, I became a Certified and an insured Canine Massage Therapist through the Midwest Natural Healing For Animals with Christy LaPorte. I also served as a Veterinarian Assistant for a few months to extend my knowledge of canines in different aspects like proper restaint, safety (concerning animal and humans), and health issues canines can endure. I have also worked with a canine trainer on discipline, behaviors, and emotional/physical reactions with canines in different situations.

Being a Certified and an insured Equine/ Canine Massage Therapist is a rewarding occupation. I have seen positive effects of routine massages. Witnessing a dull, lethargic, immobolized animal become an energetic, animated, and happier animal.

As your animal's Massage Therapist I will work with you to bring out the best in health, energy, and personality of your animal.

About Me

My name is Amanda Hughart. I live in North Branford, CT. Animals have always been in my life. I have two dogs at home, Sunny a 4 year old yellow labrador retriever and Maizy, a 1.5 year old black lab mix rescue. I also have a passion for horses, which I am thankful to have many throughout the last 12 years. I have riding experience, although haven't been on a horse for a few years. I do enjoy their company and taking care of them on a day to day basis. I thrive on helping humans and animals live a better life in any way that I can.
